LUCIANO DI CONCETTO

” For me, a painting should not reveal its secrets of entry, I hope to have this depth so that one can penetrate into my painting and go further than the image it represents. “
French artist born in 1962, Luciano di Concetto takes up the foundations of Street Art while distinguishing himself by a mystical and meditative dimension. His works take the form of indecipherable enigmas inviting the viewer to undertake a contemplative journey.
Energized by the colors inspired by his many travels, the paintings he creates are animated by sharp contrasts and punctuated by different textures and materials that he assembles with balance and harmony. The meaning of these works is as much hidden from us as it is suggested to us by motifs and calligraphy inspired by his cultural discoveries. The mandala, Japanese art and other forms from real or imaginary traditions find their place in his compositions with mysterious and secret meanings, in which aesthetic satisfaction merges with that of the exploration of symbols.
